The Treatment Process
What you can expect to happen during the FREE consultation
The purpose of this 15-minute consultation is for the both of us to meet and for you to understand more about hypnosis and hypnotherapy. This provides you with the opportunity to find out whether hypnotherapy is the right choice of therapy for you. As with any form of therapy, it is important that the client and therapist have good rapport, so hopefully this will be established by the end of the consultation.
What you can expect to happen during the assessment
Should you decide to proceed with treatment, the session will continue for approximately 1 hour (of which is charged). During this period, a detailed assessment of your problem/condition will be carried out. An agreed treatment plan will then be formulated in accordance with your aims and objectives, and you will be provided with some indication as to how many sessions will be required.
What you can expect to happen during the hypnotherapy session
All sessions last approximately 1 hour. At the start of each session we will have a discussion in order to review your progress, followed by hypnosis - which normally lasts between 30 and 40 minutes. Special digital equipment is used which helps to enhance the hypnotic experience by providing you with a personal and private environment. This involves the two of us wearing headphones and you hear the sound of my voice combined with relaxing music playing in the background.
During hypnosis your subconscious mind becomes very aware and susceptible to beneficial change. I will use a number of techniques in order to encourage therapeutic change so that you can achieve your desired goals.
After hypnosis, we will discuss any experiences that you have had during the session. At the end of the session, you will be provided with specialist hypnotherapy CD's tailored to your particular problem. Listening to CD's between sessions helps to reinforce progress achieved during the session itself. Recordings are compiled using specialist software which provides excellent sound quality.
You may also be provided with additional work to complete between sessions.
